American magazine published in New York City from 1888 to 1925, initially under the title "Current Literature" and with a literature focus. First published and edited by Frederick Somers. Editors and contributors include: George W. Cable, Bliss Carman, Leonard D. Abbott, William Bayard Hale, William George Jordan, George Sylvester Viereck. It began focusing more and more on news and current events, especially after absorbing another magazine, "Current History." it changed its name to "Current Opinion" in 1913. It submerged into its rival "The Literary Digest" in 1925.
