Cheetham, Alfred B., 1867-1918
Alfred Cheetham; born 6 May 1866, Liverpool, England; died 22 August 1918 aboard the SS Prunelle in the North Sea; was a member of several Antarctic expeditions. He served as third officer for both the Nimrod expedition and Imperial Trans-Antarctic expedition. He died at sea when his ship was torpedoed during the First World War.
