Kang, Eugene, 1984-
<p> Eugene Kang (born 1984) was the Special Projects Coordinator and Confidential Assistant to President Barack Obama. </p>
<p> Eugene Kang is an Ann Arbor native who attended Greenhills School before enrolling at the University of Michigan. At Michigan, Kang made a 2005 bid for the Ann Arbor City Council. He later worked on Senator Amy Klobuchar's (D-Minn.) 2006 campaign. During Obama's Presidential campaign he worked in the political division. A second-generation Korean American, he was also a part of the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders National Leadership Council. </p>

<p> Before joining Teneo, Eugene was a Special Assistant to the President and served in the White House Office of Political Affairs. Eugene advised President Obama and senior administration officials on national political engagement and helped manage special situations. Previously, Eugene served as the President’s traveling political aide during his 2008 campaign and during the Obama-Biden Transition project. Eugene also worked on local and federal campaigns in previous campaign cycles. </p>
<p> Eugene is an Ann Arbor native and holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two kids. </p>
