Kenzō Tange (b. 4 September 1913, Osaka, Japan–d. 22 March 2005, Tokyo, Japan); architect, winner of 1987 Pritzker Prize for architecture; attended Nihon University and University of Tokyo; assistant progessor at University of Tokyo; interest in urban studies; helped desing new plans for cities destroyed in WWII; designed monuments and buildings including Peace Center in Hiroshima, Ise Shrine; Tokyo Olympic arenas, Supreme Court of Pakistan
