SWETT (or Sweat), Mary, nee Howell, c. 1739-1821 b. c. 1739 Phila., Pa. (?), daughter of Jacob Howell. Lived at Haddonfield, N.J. and was a minister. m., 1762, Benjamin Swett (or Sweat). 1775 brought their certificates to Haddonfield. 1792, with Phila. Friends visited families in Philadelphia. 1797-1801 accompanied Charity Cook on her visit to Europe. 93 Friends signed the certificate of Haddonfield Meeting endorsing the project. d. 1821.

Benjamin Swett junr., of the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, merchant, son of John Swett late of Wilmington in New Castle County in Delaware, deceased; and Mary Howell, of the said city, daughter of Jacob Howell Junr. of the Borrough of Chester in the Province aforesaid, were married the 27th day of the 5th month in the year 1762.
