George Clyde Baldwin; 14 Apr 1884 Kinsman, Belmont County, Ohio;
DEATH: 23 Apr 1951 (aged 67), Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana; G. Clyde Baldwin, 67, 1421 Third avenue north, a resident of this city for more than two decades, died Monday afternoon at his home.
Baldwin relinquished his position as general agent for Northwest Mutual Life Insurance Co. for Montana and northern Wyoming with headquarters here in July 1947. He remained active as special agent for the company.
Born at Kinsman, Ohio, April 14, 1884, he attended high school there. He was graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in civil engineering. He worked on the Alaska boundary from 1906 to 1911; at Boise, 1911 to 1919; and Idaho Falls, 1919 to 1930. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
He was associated with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance company for over 30 years. He became general agent here April 1, 1930. He was elected president of the Great Falls Life Underwriters' association in Feb. 1933. In Oct. 1943, he was appointed to the Cascade county rationing board by the state OPA office. Active in civic affairs, he served as director of the Rotary club and the American Heart Assn. He was also a member of the Round Table and the Meadow Lark Country clubs.
Surviving besides his widow, Helen, are a son, George Clyde, Jr., of Great Falls; a daughter, Mrs. T. D. Barry, Milwaukee, and three grandsons.
