Friedrich, Robert C., 1934-2006
Friedrich worked for the Queens Library from the 1960s to 1970, when he moved to California. He lived there for 10 years, working as a librarian and running a collectibles store. When he returned, he went back to work at the Queens Library, until his retirement in 1997. [...]
Friedrich had varied interests, including windmills on Long Island and collecting antique milk glass. “He became an active member of a national society for milk glass collectors, writing articles for them,” Fishel said.

Friedrich was born on Sept. 9, 1934 and received his bachelor's of arts from Queens College. He received his master's in library science from Syracuse University. After graduation, he worked at the central branch of the Queens Borough Public Library as a Long Island historian where he was employed until his retirement.
