F. Heppenheimer's Sons
Born in Crumstadt, Hessen-Darmstadt. Son of Katharina Margareta Diefenbach and Johann Friedrich Ludwig Heppenheimer. Came to America in about 1847. Started a lithographic company [F. Heppenheimer in NYC in 1851 with Adam Hartman which soon became the firm of F. Heppenheimer's Sons], Lithographer. Later partnered with Louie Maurer in the 1870's (Heppenheimer and Maurer); served as Captain in the 5th Regiment of the New York State Militia in 1861.
