Cyrus Leopold Sulzberger was a merchant and philanthropist. He served as the president of the Jewish Agricultural and Industrial Aid Society. He was the son of Leopold Sulzberger (1805-1881) and his wife, Sophia Lindauer (1830-1909), natives of Heidelsheim, Germany who immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cyrus Leopold Sulzberger married Rachel Peixotto Hays. His son, Arthur Hays Sulzberger, was the publisher of The New York Times from 1935 to 1961.
