Lea Demarest Taylor was Head Resident of the Chicago Commons settlement house and daughter of its founder, Graham Taylor. Lea Taylor grew up at Chicago Commons and was a full resident from the age of 16. She was president of the Chicago Federation of Settlements from 1930 to 1934 and again from 1950 to 1952.
