Baker, Moseley, 1802-1848
Baker was a lawyer, editor, politician, Methodist minister in his lifetime. He was the leader of the Texas war party before the Revolution, opposed to the burning of San Felipe during the Revolution, and after the Revolution drew up charges of impeachment against Houston. He was a brigadier general in the Texas army in the 1839 campaign against the Indians and at the time of the Adrian Woll expedition and died of yellow fever in Houston in 1848.
