Brothers Martin Mason Hazeltine (1827-1903) and George Irving Hazeltine (1836-1918) trained in photography in New York City in 1852 and headed to California, where Martin made his name with photography in Yosemite. George moved to Baker County, Or., where he engaged in photography, mining, and public service. George concentrated on studio portraiture and scenic views of Eastern Oregon.
