Members of the Donaghy family came to Vermont, Iowa, and Utah from Ireland during the 19th century. It appears that at least the Vermont branch changed the spelling of the name to Donoway. Elizabeth (Donoway) Robinson was born in Vergennes, Vt., attended school there, and taught school in the area. She married Rowland T.
