The common ancestors used for this family reconstruction were William Huntsman of Epworth, Lincolnshire, and his wife Mary Nainby. From them E W Hulme has traced two lines of the family, living largely in the Doncaster region. In the nineteenth century, Francis Huntsman (1785-1879) and his wife, Fanny Hawksworth (1792-1868), lived at Attercliffe, Crookhill and Loversall Hall, all in the Doncaster area and had thirteen children.
