Judge Connor was the first white settler in Nottawa (Mich.), buing 80 acres there in 1829. He then returned to teach in Ypsilanti (Mich.) for a year before returning to the property. Connor was the first township surveyor, elected in 1831, 1833, 1837, 1840, 1842, 1843, and 1853.
