Biographical Information: Rancho San Luis Rey was one of the most prominent horse-breeding ranches in the Southwestern United States during the 1930s and 1940s. Owned and operated by Charles E. Cooper, the ranch bred, sold, and ran horses throughout California and Tijuana.
