Nelson, Roy E.

Roy E. Nelson owned and operated a securities brokerage business in Spokane from 1946 to 1976. His company traded and acted as broker in the sale and purchase of corporate stocks, most of which were shares of mining companies traded on the Spokane Stock Exchange. Nelson was a member of the Spokane Exchange and was active in its affairs. His company served a large clientel throughout an extensive geographical area. Its first office was in the Radio Central Building and had an entrance from Post Street as well as the building's lobby. The company relocated when the building was sold to become a part of the site for a new Washington Trust Bank building.
