Fuller, Corydon Eustathius, d. 1886.

Fuller befriended James Garfield while attending the Hiram Eclectic Institute (Hiram, Ohio). After leaving the college Fuller and Garfield carried on an extensive correspondence until Garfield's death in 1881. At the time of Fuller's death in 1886 he was residing in Des Moines and was preparing a biography of Garfield which was published with the title Reminiscences of Garfield. Fuller served as the treasurer of the Iowa Loan and Trust Co. in Des Moines. Notations on the letters from Garfield indicate that Fuller lived in Chardon, Ohio (1851-1852); Grand Rapids, Michigan (1853 and 1859); Ravenna, Ohio (1853); Sharon, Pennsylvania (1853-1854); Mishawaka, Indiana (1857); Glencoe, Mississippi (1857); Monticello, Arkansas (1858); Big Rapids, Michigan (1860); Wolcott, N.Y. (1861); Rochester, Ind. (1861-1864); Berlin, Mich. (1865); South Bend, Ind. (1866); and Des Moines, Iowa (1869-1880).
