Alexander, William P. (William Prindle), 1881-1956

William Anderson Alexander (1889-1950) graduated from Georgia Tech in 1912 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he became a mathematics instructor and assistant football coach under John Heisman. In 1920, he became head football coach, a position he maintained until his retirement in 1944. Alexander is remembered for his numerous wins and for taking Georgia Tech to four bowl games.
