Constellation Similarity Assertions
Filisola, Vicente
Vicente Filísola (1789-1850), a Brigadier General in the Mexican Army, was Antonio López de Santa Anna's second in command during the Texan Revolution. After Santa Anna's capture at the Battle of San Jacinto, Filísola was responsible for leading the Mexican Army's retreat from Texas. These memoirs may have been published as part of a personal defense campaign, as the author faced formal charges of treason and cowardice for following Santa Anna's orders to withdraw Mexican troops from Texas.
