Jim Bishop began his career in 1929 as a Ne York News copy boy. He became an author and journalist. His most significant publications were written while he worked as a columnist with the King Features Syndicate. He received an honorary degree from St. Bonaventure University in 1958. He was a recipient of the Hellinger Award in 1975.
