Thompson, Charles Perkins, 1827-1894

Thompson studied law in the office of Benjamin F. Hallett in Boston and was admitted to the Suffolk bar in 1854. In 1857 he moved his practice to Gloucester. He was active in politics becoming a state representative (1871-1872) and a member of the U.S. Congress (1874-1876). In 1885, he was appointed to the Massachusetts Superior Court where he remained until his death.
