Agnes Cochran Bramblett (1886-1979), was a poet and Georgia's first female poet laureate. She was born in Summerville, Georgia, on October 3, 1886 to William David and Mary Elizabeth Goolsby Cochran. She married Augustus Walter Bramblett on June 14, 1908 and moved to Forsyth, Georgia. They had two children: Antoinette and Walter.
