Rockfellow, John Alexander, 1858-1947.

Rancher; Rockfellow arrived in Arizona in 1878. He was a miner in Tombstone, then established the NY Ranch in the Sulphur Spring Valley near Cochise Stronghold in partnership with Walter E. Servoss and Jack Spencer. He also taught mathematics for two years at the University of Arizona, served four years as Cochise County School Superintendent circa 1908, and maintained a civil engineering practice in Tombstone. His memoirs were published as "The Log of an Arizona Trailblazer."
