Kurt Dittmar (b. Jan. 5, 1891-d. April 26, 1959), German general, served in both world wars, most notably as the Official Military Commentator of the German Armed Forces beginning in 1942. Broadcasting communiqués from the front, he became known as the “Voice of the German High Command,” with a following among the Allied monitoring staff.
