Samuel and Dorothy Shields lived in Bedford, Nova Scotia, during the 1940s and 50s. Samuel Shields owned a barber shop located in Halifax's Roy Building. His wife Dorothy was born in Bermuda and came to live in Nova Scotia after she was married.
