William Holgers lived in the Okaland/Berkeley area. He met Willard Van Dyke at the Ford Motor Plant. Holgers attended the U.S. Camera Photographic Forum in Yosemite, a photographic workshop, taught by Ansel Adams and Edward Weston in 1940.
