Henry Forrester (c.1569-1617) was the son of Andrew Forester, minister of Kippen. He was educated at Edinburgh University and ordained to Larbert in Stirlingshire in 1597. In 1600 he was translated to Tulliallan in the presbytery of Dunblane, where he remained until his death in 1617. Sir William Oliphant of Newton (1550-1628) was Lord Advocate of Scotland, 1612-1626.
