Amberg, Richard H. 1912-1967.

Richard H. Amberg was born in 1912. He graduated from Harvard University in 1933, joined the Naval Reserve in 1937 and trained as an intelligence officer before going on active duty in August 1941. He attended various amphibious related schools and was assigned as flag secretary to ADM Richmond K. Turner in 1943- 1944 and then to the staff of General Douglas MacArthur as a naval advisor and war plans advisor, 1944-1945. He was discharged in 1945 and was a publisher of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat and the Syracuse Post Standard. He died in 1967.
