Albinson, Don.

Mr. Albinson is recognized in the field of industrial design, specifically furniture design. He was educated at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and later worked in the offices of mid-century modernists Eero Saarinen and Charles Eames, prior to opening his Los Angeles-based industrial design firm in 1959. From 1964 to 1971 he served as the Knoll director of design. Subsequently, he consulted on the design of office seating and furniture systems for Westinghouse and taught industrial design at the University of California, Los Angeles.
