Price, Harrison

After receiving degrees in engineering and business administration, Harrison Price managed the Stanford Research Institute's Los Angeles office in the 1950s where he assisted with locating Disneyland in Anaheim. In 1958, he founded ERA, Economic Research Associates, a consulting company in economics where he located Disney World in Central Florida 1963, and wrote a Universal Studios tour feasibility analysis in 1964. In 1969, Price sold ERA to Planning Research Corporation, serving seven years in corporate management and becoming chairman of the board. In 1978 he founded Harrison Price Co. and was elected to the International Association of Amusement Parks Hall of Fame in 1995. For 37 years he has served as a trustee of CalArts, the Disney-founded school of all the arts, in Valencia, California.
