He served as lecturer for the order, superior of the Colegio at Tlatelolco, and head of the missionary province of Santo Evangelio, archivist and Inquisition familial. In 1792, commissioned by Viceroy Revillagigedo, he assembled 32 vols. of mss. pertaining to the discoveries and evangelization of New Spain, some of which are now in the Archivo General de la NacioĢn in Mexico City.
