Stephen Robbins (1758-1847), of Lexington, Mass., was an extensive landowner in Lexington and Lunenburg, operated a general store, and, in partnership with his son Eli Robbins (1786-1856), introduced the fur dressing industry to East Lexington, which aided the growth and prosperity of the area.
