Farmer, surveyor and member of the Iowa Territorial and State Legislatures. Woodworth was born in New York, moved to Indiana to work as a surveyor and eventually settled near Rome in Henry County, Iowa. He was a Whig Party affiliate and served in sessions 7 and 8 of the Iowa Territorial Legislature (1845-1846) and the 2nd Iowa General Assembly (1848). He died of cholera at his farm near Rome.
