Vicente Filísola (1789-1850), a Brigadier General in the Mexican Army, was Antonio López de Santa Anna's second in command during the Texan Revolution. After Santa Anna's capture at the Battle of San Jacinto, Filísola was responsible for leading the Mexican Army's retreat from Texas.
