Biographical notes:
Walker family members include Jacob W. Walker (ca. 1803-fl. 1870), a Missouri farmer with Kentucky roots; his wife Mary M. Walker (ca. 1813-fl. 1870); and his brothers James Volney Walker (1799-1858), a Kentucky farmer and slaveowner, and David Shelby Walker (1815-1891), a Florida lawyer, supreme court justice, and governor.
