United Foreign Missionary Society
Biographical notes:
The society was composed of the Presbyterian, Reformed Dutch, and Associate Reformed Churches. Its object was to spread the gospel among the Indians of North America, the inhabitants of Mexico and South America, and in other portions of the non-Christian world. The missions of the United Foreign Missionary Society were transferred to the care of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in 1826-27.
