Bacot, Daniel Huger, b. 1888.
Biographical notes:
Charleston, South Carolina educator, journalist and writer. After receiving his doctorate from Harvard in 1922, he taught at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and at Temple University in Philadelphia (Pa.). Bacot was a proof reader, reviewer, and feature and editorial writer for The News and Courier (Charleston, S.C.) for 31 years. He also contributed articles to many magazines and wrote a history of the Carolina Yacht Club. Bacot married Marie Thomas in 1956.
