Anna Emily Helen Dorsey was born in 1899. She attended the University of Maryland (class of 1925), where she was active in student government and the Y.W.C.A. She may have worked as a nurse at the Mayo Clinic. She married Giles Buckner Cooke (1897-1974), an expert on cork. She died in 1988.
