Biographical notes:

Simms Taback was born in New York City in 1932. He was educated at Cooper Union and has worked as a designer, art director, and freelance illustrator. As an illustrator of children's books he is best known for his work with Harriet Ziefert. He uses various media in his work, but most of his illustrations have been created with pen and ink and watercolor. Numerous of his books have received honors, including Please Share That Peanut! and There's Motion Everywhere, both represented in this collection.
