Biographical note: Comptroller, University of Arizona from 1916 to 1935; Walker arrived in Arizona in 1900 and married Helen Osborne in 1904. He also served as the Superintendent of the Tucson Public Schools from 1901 to 1906.

Biographical note: Francis Marion Walker was born in Indiana in 1870; he moved to Tucson in 1900 and served as superintendent of Tucson Public Schools from 1901 to 1906. He later worked for the University of Arizona from 1916 to 1935.
