Biographical notes:
John Sleeper was a minister associated with Mount Holly, New Jersey, and Burlington Monthly Meeting. He was born on the 14th day of the 10th month, 1731 (old style), the son of Jonathan and Hannah Sleeper. He married Hannah Haines in 1754. The couple had 10 children, John, Jonathan, William, Samuel, Joseph, Hannah, Phebe, Mary, Benjamin and Ann. He died on the 24th day of the 11th month, 1794.
