Biographical notes:
Joseph Cowperthwaite was born on the 5th day of the 5th month, 1793, the son of Job and Anne Cowperthwaite. He had 14 siblings, Mary, Elizabeth, Esther, Hannah, Anne, Job, Samuel, Patience, Ambrose, William, Stacy, Thomas, Mary, and Prudance. He was a minister associated with Burlington county and Chester Monthly Meeting. Died unfortunately young in the 8th month of 1822 after being ill for some time.
