Biographical notes:
Joseph Burroughs was a Quaker associated with Haddonfield Monthly Meeting and Chester Monthly Meeting. He was born to Samuel and Ann (Gray) Burrough on the 24th of the 2nd month 1736 (new style). In 1765 he married Mary Pine, daughter of Bery Pine; they had a son named William. Burrough died June 9, 1814 in his 79th year.
