Biographical notes:

Kay Bailey, born July 22, 1943, received her law degree from the University of Texas in 1967. She was one of the first woman news reporters in Houston, working for KPRC-TV. She also worked for a period as press secretary for Anne Armstrong while she was co-chairman of the National Republican Party. She served two terms in the Texas Legislature and was a member of the 1974 Texas Constitutional Convention.
