Benjamin F. Akin, physician and graduate of the Georgia College of Eclectic Medicine and Surgery (1899), married Hattie T. Barron, physician and graduate of the Women's Medical College of Georgia (1893), sometime after 1893. They practiced medicine in Jackson and Jenkinsburg, Georgia, until circa 1940.
