The Tamiment Playhouse, located in Bushkill, Pennsylvania, was a prominent incubator of and a major creative outlet for theater, dance, film, and television in the mid-twentieth century, particularly for comedy. It nurtured many performers who later became famous, such as Danny Kaye, Carol Burnett, and Woody Allen. Much of the copious original material performed at Tamiment found its way to the professional stage, Broadway, and television. The Playhouse was part of Camp Tamiment, a summer resort for socialists and their families that opened in 1921. It began offering professional theatrical productions by the early 1930s, and closed after the season of 1960. Beverly Bozeman Fuller (professional name, Beverly Bozeman), is a dancer and an actress who appeared in a number of different Tamiment Playhouse productions. Her husband, Dean Fuller, worked as staff composer for the Tamiment Playhouse and collaborated with Marshall Barer on a number of Playhouse productions and songs, including The Emperor's New Clothes. He and Barer also collaborated on some Broadway productions.

Beverly Bozeman Fuller (professional name, Beverly Bozeman), is a dancer and an actress who appeared in a number of different Tamiment Playhouse productions. Dean Fuller, composer, conductor and arranger, worked as staff composer for the Tamiment Playhouse. He married Beverly Bozeman in 1955. He collaborated with Marshall Barer on a number of Playhouse productions and songs, including The Emperor's New Clothes . As with many Tamiment Playhouse alumni, he and Barer also created or worked on Broadway productions, the best-known of which is Once Upon A Mattress, which they also collaborated on.
