Rebecca Latimer Felton (1835-1930) journalist, temperance and penal reformer, women's political activist, born in DeKalb County Georgia, lived in Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia, after marriage to Dr. William Harrell Felton. Educated at Madison Female College, honorary degree University of Georgia (1922), first woman U.S. Senator.
