Farmer in Concord, Mich., and teacher in various Jackson County, Mich., communities. He earlier lived and taught in Montgomery County, N.Y.

Cross (b. 1795) was a school teacher in Salisbury (N.Y.), a peddler, and after 1835 a teacher in Concord (Mich.), Justice of the Peace, and Overseer of the Poor. He married Mary Wilbur, probably in Oct. 1837.(Information from the collection.).
