Biographical notes:

The United Cement, Lime, and Gypsum Workers International Union (UCLGWIU), Local 24 was formally established in 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio at the Columbia Cement Division plant. It was initially Local #18457. The UCLGWIU became the Cement, Lime, and Gypsum and Allied Workers Division of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers in the mid-1980s.
